Marriage and Relationship Education For Couples

Healthful Relationships Education at United Christian Church of Yakima will be offering four marriage education courses, “P.R.E.P. for Couples”, between September 2007 and June 2008. Couples will attend the first session on a Saturday and two follow-up evening sessions, determined by compiling class schedules, within the month afterwards. After their initial day of learning, couples will be offered the opportunity to spend time at home to practice their communication skills and share homework reading assignments from “Fighting FOR Your Marriage”. The follow-up sessions will afford time for feedback, coaching and class support as well as learning new aspects of growing intimacy.

The PREP curriculum is appropriate for married, just married or pre-marital couples. Childcare services by certified caregivers, on-site, will be made available by reservation please. Transportation may also be available for some.

Upcoming “Initial” Course Dates:

Saturday in May or June? TBA

Initial Courses will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end by 4:00 p.m. The two Follow-up Courses will be at times determined by each class, for 2 ½ hours each.

Initial Courses include PREP Workbooks & the book, “Fighting FOR Your Marriage”, morning coffee/treats and sandwich-style lunches. (Follow-up courses may include light meals if classes so choose.)

There will be no charge. Couples will be invited to make a donation to United Christian Church of Yakima.
